Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Taking care of our own life, fixing our own messes? Life owes us nothing. Our boss owes us nothing except for a fair wage for a fair days work. Our family owes us nothing. Life doesn’t owe us a thing. It doesn’t owe us health, happiness, abundance, success, comfort or immunity from pain and problems. It doesn’t owe us a job, a house, a bed or a single meal. No one owes us kindness, love, recognition, empathy, apologies or understanding.
We’re not entitled to a single thing.
We’ve got to make our own personal economy better, then we’ll be able to stand tall no matter what’s going on in the world.
The downside to this is – we have no one to blame but ourselves.
The upside is – we get all the credit when things go right.
While some find that this is a difficult concept to grasp, I’ve found it to be actually very empowering.
We have the power to improve our life in any way we want.
How many of us are willing to look into the mirror and see the problems and solutions for what it really is?
