I believe that education is important no matter if you are incarcerated or in the free world. Education broadens your mind and takes you to a whole different level.
I think that the availability of educational programs in prisons is the key to reducing the recidivism rate.
Benefits of educational programs in prison are: instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment in persons incarcerated which reduces the chance that they will break prison rules or participate in prohibited activities; at the same time equipping a prisoner with skills to succeed upon release from prison.
I recommend that anyone whom is incarcerated take advantage of any and all available educational programs.
