Cevelino Capuia's Poetry

  • Poem

You are my past, a past full of me, a past full of us, the dust that swilled the rain that poured

Your eyes captured a part of me that was mixed and dry, cold and burnt

Friend you are so much of who I was, I know there is only so much of me with you.

A piece of us you are my yesterday, a breath in the frigid cold blue sun filled skies - glory - blue skies and joyful stories

    Friend you were food I ate a tap for drinking, a bike I rode, a summer's cold-warmth

Friend you were the chicken pox covering me

You painted feelings of peace love and confusion of hope - curious -

    Friend you filled an emptiness

Don't go leave me full of you

    Friend you are my past
